Location flows between your devices — not through ours. Opaloc's servers broker connections but never receive, store, or transmit your location.
Bluetooth-first
When the people you share with are nearby, your location stays in the room. No internet handoff. No cloud relay. Just a direct encrypted signal.
No account required
Set a display name. That's it. No email, no phone number, no profile to leak. Your identity exists only on your device.
Double consent, always
Every connection requires both people to agree. You can see someone's location only if they can see yours — bilateral visibility is built into every connection.
Your groups, your device
Group your connections any way you like — family, friends, work. Groups are stored on your phone only. We never know how you've organized the people in your life.
Smart battery use
Opaloc backs off automatically when you stop moving and wakes up when you start again. Sharing your location shouldn't mean draining your battery.
Abuse is architecturally impossible, not just contractually forbidden.
Most apps promise not to share your data. Opaloc's design means the data never reaches us in the first place. We can't sell what we don't have.
